deviant-sarge Yes, I am well aware that you have military rules regarding foreign policy, but when you have been ravaged by Cyclone Nargis and your country has been hit as hard as it has been, don't you think you should drop the rules just this once to let people in?
The death toll has risen past 22,000, and is expected to rise due to disease and, judging by the amount of people who are still missing and the amount of people who are homeless, that figure could tip into the hundreds of thousands.
But you are not opening your doors, when it is quite clear that millions of people want to help you. Why?
I find it a little silly that, while people are dying in your country, you're turning aid away because you're suspecting foreigners will interfere with your politics. We do not intend to do that, we are trying to help you and your people, but you're pushing us away!
No country can look after itself in the aftermath of such a disaster, what makes you people think that you can? For the sake of thousands, let other nations help you establish shelter and treatment for those that are homeless, sick, injured or dying; and let us help you clean up after the disaster.
I cannot stand ungratefulness - by turning away people that are willing to do anything they can to assist, you're just showing how stubborn and selfish you are!
YOUR PEOPLE ARE DYING, YOU IDIOTS!
And /rant. I'm sorry, but all the news about Burma refusing aid is just making me frustrated right now.
Maths and English exams are over, thank goodness. I have History, Geography and Science exams on Monday, so, phew, halfway there.

Don't you just hate mental blanks when you're halfway through an exam?

A headless man had a letter to write, it was read by a man who had lost his sight. A mute repeated it word for word, and deaf was he who heard. What is the letter?

Everything is fine. That's how life works. Everything is fine until it isn't, and then you deal with it. Otherwise there is no life, there's just waiting to die.
